UnderCall collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, and no server of ours that your information is sent to.
No accounts
You choose a display name for a game. It is stored on your own device and shown to the other players at your table. It is never sent to us.
How multiplayer works
Games run directly between players' devices over a peer-to-peer connection. Cards, scores and reactions pass between the people at your table and nowhere else.
A public signalling service (PeerJS) is used only to introduce two devices to each other so they can connect. Game content does not pass through it.
Someone can only join your table if you give them its five-letter code. The host can lock a table so nobody new can join, and can remove a player.
Reactions
Players can send each other a small fixed set of emoji reactions. There is no chat, no typed messages, and no user-generated content of any kind.
What is stored on your device
- Your display name and the region you type in
- The last table code you used, cleared when you leave a table or after six hours
- Your sound preference
- A record of finished games: games played, games won, rounds won
- An unfinished solo game, so you can resume it
None of this leaves your device. You can delete the game records at any time from Records › Clear all records. Deleting the app removes everything else.
On iPhone
If you sign in with Apple, your records are saved to your Apple ID through iCloud so they follow you to your other devices. Apple holds that data, not us, and we never see your Apple ID or your email address. Signing in is optional and the game works fully without it.
Children
There are no purchases, no advertising, no chat, no user-generated content, and no way for a stranger to reach a player — someone can only join a table if they are given its code. The game is suitable for all ages.
